Accompanying her plant-pathologist father on trips throughout Central and South America gave Donley a taste for adventure at a young age, picking up Spanish and Portuguese along the way. Today, the travel veteran specializes in fly-fishing trips and multigenerational travel. She’s just as comfortable organizing family getaways to culture capitals like Paris as she is organizing fly-fishing expeditions to Montana and more off-the-beaten-track destinations like the Amazon.
In 2018 alone, Donley tried fly-fishing for Peacock Bass in the Amazon, then jetted off to Austalia, Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, Cape Cod, and Switzerland to try to hook some other species. She partners with top travel companies like Abercrombie & Kent and Wilderness Safaris to provide her clients with superlative service and guest experiences. For example, in New Zealand, Donley knows a helicopter crew that will dive for fresh lobsters while you’re fly-fishing on a remote river. They’ll pick you up, crustaceans in tow, for a champagne lunch on a mountaintop.
