Based in Siem Reap, Booth has far-reaching on-the-ground knowledge and a team of English-speaking guides that is great at steering travelers away from the congestion at overcrowded temples. His unique approach is informed by his background as an Oxford-educated scientist and investment banker: by conducting footfall surveys at key temple sites during different seasons, Booth has developed an expert sense of how and when to best visit these ancient sites. He’ll organize adventures ranging from archaeological digs led by academics to boat rides at sunset on the West Baray and architecture tours of old Phnom Penh.
"As an aging octogenarian with limited mobility, I cannot say enough good things about our experience in Cambodia and Vietnam. As a retired educator, I was attracted to ABoutAsia because of the commitment Andy has made to the schools in Cambodia. All of our guides were both knowledgeable and gracious, and our accommodations were outstanding. It is inspiring to know that that there are people like Andy who are quietly using their resources to make life better for others." - Rosemary F. Bowler
