The latest in hilarious sign banter comes to us from West Mobile, Alabama, where Moe's Original Bar B Que on Airport Blvd. and the Chick-fil-A across the street have been keeping residents laughing for weeks with their public tete-a-tete.
It all started with Chick-fil-A’s sign that encouraged diners to try their new Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich. “I thought we were friends,” Moe’s replied via their own sign, adding the ultimate Chick-fil-A dig: “Open Sundays.”
Apologetic, Chick-fil-A suggested they be friends again, but Moe’s replied saying they’d already moved on: they were with Diamonds (a gentleman's club a few doors down) now. After offering their congratulations, Chick-fil-A asked the barbecue spot for a friendly favor. “Any way we could get a look at that white BBQ recipe…” the plucky chain inquired. “Shyeah, we’ll send it over when pigs fly,” Moe’s retorted. That’s when Diamonds chimed in writing “Let her go Moe.”
As one Facebook commenter said, in West Mobile “Christians, hippies, and strippers get along just fine.”
Restaurateurs, you can consider the bar officially raised.
