As Meghan Markle prepares to become a citizen of the United Kingdom – she’ll have to study up on all things British history and culture for the citizenship test.

But as seen in a newly resurfaced video from over a year ago, Meghan’s British knowledge may not have been enough to pass.

Back in July 2016 – when she first started secretly dating Prince Harry – the actress participated in a jovial Britishness quiz for British show Dave while promoting her show Suits‘ sixth season. While Meghan had no idea at the time that she would become Prince Harry’s fiancée, the nearly four-minute clip is even more hilarious given their engagement news on Monday.

In the video, the Northwestern grad was asked to identify random facts about everything from the national animal for England, Scotland and Wales to what British slang translates to in “American.”

A spokesperson for the British royal family announced it’s “too early to say” if Meghan will retain her American citizenship after she becomes a British citizen. However, while she’s going through the process to become a British citizen, she will remain an American citizen.

In addition to becoming a U.K. citizen, Meghan will be baptized into the Church of England before her wedding to Prince Harry. The move is a significant nod to Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth’s role as head of the Church of England, and follows a precedent set by future sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
