The Comfy Athleisure Pants Kate Middleton Can't Stop Wearing
For a visit to Bond Primary School in Mitcham, England, on Wednesday, Kate rewore her go-to tennis outfit — and she was last spotted in pieces of it when she wasn’t pregnant.
To play tennis with students who are a part of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative, she wore the Clarice Track Jacket from PlayBrave and the “Tuxedo Track Pant Black” pants from Monreal London, along with a pair of Women’s Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit Running Shoes. The pants are a stiff price for athleisure ($345), but these pants from Nike are very similar and cost $90. (This white zip-up hoodie is also a close match to Kate’s and costs $35.)
Kate first wore her Monreal London track pants pre-pregnancy, at a February 2016 event with tennis coach Judy Murray, mother of English tennis champion Andy Murray. The royal mom, 36, is a big tennis fan herself: She attends Wimbledon every year and took over for the Queen as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in December 2016.
Since their first appearance, Kate’s track pants have become her go-to pair for whenever she’s picking up a racket: Last time Kate attended a tennis-playing engagement, in October 2017, she wore her Monreal London track pants. But that’s not the only similarity with today’s ensemble. She also sported the same Clarice jacket from PlayBrave back then, but in black instead of white. She wore the same pair of Nike sneakers at that event, too.
Kate has been wearing a mix of maternity and non-maternity wear throughout her third pregnancy. Last week, she appeared in a floral dress from one of her favorite maternity brands, Séraphine, which she wore multiple times during her pregnancy with Princess Charlotte.
