Applebee’s Is Offering $1 Long Island Iced Teas All Month
The month-long Dollar L.I.T. promotion follows a $1 margarita special in October.

Applebee’s made a huge splash in cocktail news this past October when the chain announced it would be serving up margaritas to thirsty customers for just $1 a pop. That promotion must have proved successful as the “Neighborhood Grill + Bar” has announced a similar deal for the entire month of December: $1 Long Island Iced Teas.
Yes, one of the most notorious of booze-filled drinks can be yours for just a buck a piece starting on December 1. Applebee’s is calling the drink it’s Dollar L.I.T. and with a mix of vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour mix, and just a splash of cola, “lit” is certainly the appropriate acronym. According to a statement from Applebee’s, the drink is “available all day, every day” at participating locations.
While folks gather together to celebrate with (or tolerate) their families this season, the cheap option just might prove popular, and with over 2,000 restaurants nationwide this boozy bargain shouldn't be too hard to track down near anyone's hometown. The deal is similar to the Dollarita promotion that the brand rolled out last month, which offered up 10-ounce beverages throughout October as part of Applebee’s celebration of Neighborhood Appreciation Month.

The margarita promotion was a savvy one, considering the litany of news stories coming out around millennial dining habits and their general distaste for establishments like Applebee’s and Buffalo Wild Wings (the latter of which was just recently bought out by Arby’s). But if there’s one thing millennials do love, it’s kitsch, and nothing says that quite like reliving your college drinking days by ordering up the same beverage you may have gotten tipsy on for a price that’s only found in off-campus dives.
But hey, you’re an adult now. Why not treat yourself to some surf and turf to go along with it?
