We all know that a great bag is an absolute travel must. But when smart and stylish design meet functionality, that is a match made in heaven. Let me introduce to you our new travel obsession: The brand new Tibi Chapeau bags by Myriam Schaefer. This December, creative director Amy Smilovic will unveil a project that she has been working on for the past one-and-a-half years with the Switzerland based designer Myriam Schaefer (known for her namesake line and for the designing the Lariat bag for Balenciaga).

For this three-piece collection, they shared the vision of creating a bag that's designed with quality and refinement, along with functional features, such as a card slot on the outside—perfect for easily accessing your public transit pass or ID. The “Papa” style is especially great for travel because of its larger size (it can fit an 11-inch Macbook Air—I tried!), zip closures, and long straps, so it can be held as a handbag or shoulder bag. There is also a mini size for when you don’t have much to carry, and a cross-body, which is better for more everyday use.

We can’t wait to get our hands on these bags for our next travels—wherever that may be!
