Does anyone remember when Amazon only sold books? Right, neither do we. The mega-retailer has become the place to shop online when you need just about anything (in two days or less) and that includes your trip prep essentials, of course.
So, we were curious: what are this year's most wanted travel products? To answer, we asked Amazon to share the top 50 items Travel + Leisure readers — in our eyes, the savviest travelers out there — ordered in 2018. The majority of the list is made up of smart, under-$50 finds, and it's essentially a guide to the best travel products we didn't know we needed.
And what did we learn from a list of your favorite travel gear? Well, for one, T+L readers are prepared. Four sizes of Anker's portable chargers made the top 50, ensuring you'll never be without enough battery on your devices. Outdoor lovers put the Lifestraw water filter and two reef-safe sunscreens on the list. And there are a few tools to make your travel shoes more comfortable and your days on the road less stressful (hello, luggage scale).
You're also super-organized packers. There are two sets of T+L-approved packing cubes, two garment bags, a tech organizer, a popular set of shoe bags, and a book on "How to Pack."
And seemingly above all else, this list proves that the T+L reader really values quality sleep. Eleven travel pillows made the list — alongside two sleep masks, a set of earplugs, and two portable footrests. There is some major overnight flight comfort going on here and we could not be prouder.
