If you work from home, you know the importance of a comfortable, clean workspace in order to ensure you’re as productive as possible. Separating the space you work in from the space you live in can be a difficult task if your home is small — a reality for many — but with a few thoughtful products, you can make even the tiniest of rooms a nice place to both work and live.

With the CDC recommending that people self-isolate due to the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus, or Covid-19, more and more people are being told by their employers to work from home for the near future. This means that a lot of us who are generally used to being in an office during work hours — and who feel more productive at work because of it — are suddenly figuring out how to make remote working as manageable and seamless as possible.

If this does apply to you (or if you already work remotely and just want to spruce up your space), there are a few must-have products that will help make your time working from home just as productive as when you’re in an office. They’ll also make it more comfortable, because if you’re working from home, you might as well be comfortable, right?

In order to get the lowdown on which items are must-haves, I reached out to people who regularly work from home and got their recommendations. These are the items they swear by.

Halluci Women's Cross Band Soft Plush Slippers

As one remote worker shared, having a reliable (and ridiculously comfortable) pair of slippers will make you feel like royalty. These slippers are some of the fluffiest you’ll find, and they include memory foam inserts that will make you feel as if you’re walking on clouds. They come in six colors, including pink, black, tan, red, gray, and beige.

Larq Self-cleaning Water Bottle

Courtesy of Amazon

One telecommuter stressed the importance of staying hydrated at home. There’s nothing more annoying than having to repeatedly wash out your water bottle — but keeping it clean, especially during the outbreak of Covid-19, is important for your health. This water bottle from Larq is actually self-cleaning, so you never have to wash it out. Instead, it uses a UV filtration system every two hours to purify itself and the water inside it, so you can be sure you’re always drinking out of a clean bottle.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Malibu Wrap

If you’re working from home, you don’t really have to worry about dressing up for the office. With that in mind, you might as well be comfortable and cozy in a nice wrap. One remote worker recommended this wrap from Barefoot Dreams. It’s a plush, fringe-trimmed wrap that’s machine-washable, so you can always keep it nice and clean while you’re home.

Thankfully, there are products like this care package, which includes 30 food items that are each healthy and balanced. With this, you’ll never miss the snacks at the office again.

Aquaphor Lip Repair Ointment

Having a good lip balm around on any day is important — no one likes cracked lips — but while you’re working from home for an extended period of time, it’s imperative. One person who works from home regularly suggested buying this Aquaphor lip ointment, which will help prevent chapped lips while you’re trying to work.

Vasagle Industrial Side Table

Courtesy of Amazon

If you’re working at home but don’t have a desk, it can be annoying to keep your laptop actually on your lap while you’re trying to type away. Eliminate that annoyance with a side table that you can place your laptop on and easily move around, whether you’re working on your couch, in bed, or from an armchair in your home.

Clorox Stain & Odor Remover Spray

Courtesy of Petco

Working from home more frequently means needing to clean your space more often. However, that can be a difficult task considering many cleaning supplies are sold out at most retailers due to the Covid-19 outbreak. This Clorox spray at Petco is still available, though: It’s a disinfectant stain and odor remover spray that’s safe to use in your home whether or not you have pets, and it does meet the CDC guidelines for a cleaner that will eliminate germs carrying the novel coronavirus.

Echo Dot

On a personal note, when I worked from home full-time, I found myself going a little stir-crazy at times. So, while you might not have co-workers around you if you’re working remotely, you can have a virtual assistant nearby to tell you the time, wake you up in the mornings, or just talk to you when you’re bored. Kind of like Wilson was for Chuck in Cast Away, only more high-tech. This Echo Dot, which is $50 on Amazon, will do all those things and more.
