Every November 11, veterans are honored across the U.S. for their service with free meals, discounted hotel rooms, and free entry to attractions. Here are this year’s best deals for veterans of the American Armed Forces.

Keep in mind that all of these businesses require proof of military service, which can include a VA Universal Access Card, Military ID, discharge papers, or Veterans Service Organization Card. Call ahead to ask if your nearest location is participating in these Veteran’s Day offers, since not all franchises of national chains may participate.


On Nov. 11, the restaurant chain is offering a free entrée to veterans from a select menu of seven items, which includes Fiesta Lime Chicken, Butcher’s Meat and Potatoes, and Double Crunch Shrimp. This year all current and former military personnel will also receive a $5 coupon that can be redeemed between November 12 and November 27, 2016.

Bed Bath & Beyond

U.S. military and veterans get 20% off of entire in-store purchases between Nov. 10 and 13.

BLT Steak

On November 11, parties of two or less who dine in at BLT Steak and show a military ID will receive a 50 percent discount and parties of three or more will receive a 25 percent discount.

Bob Evans

New this year, veterans and active military can get a free meal from a select menu, which includes hotcakes, brioche French toast, a country biscuit breakfast, a farmboy sandwich, or country fried steak.

Brooks Brothers

Veterans and active military can enjoy 25% off of in-store purchases between November 8 and 11.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Veterans and active military can get a free small order of 10-12 wings and fries.

California Pizza Kitchen

Veterans and active military can get a free meal from a limited menu, which includes pizza, entrée salads, or pasta.


Buy One Get One free burritos, bowls, salads, and tacos are offered to veterans and active military and their spouses between 3 p.m. and closing time on Friday, November 11.

The diner chain is inviting active military and veterans to stop by for a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast on Friday, November 11 between 5 a.m. and noon.

Dollar General

Eleven percent discount on qualifying purchases for active military and veterans on Friday November 11.

Fogo de Chao

The Brazilian steakhouse chain is offering 50 percent off meals to veterans and active military on Friday November 11. Up to three additional guests can receive 10 percent off their meals.


The restaurant chain is offering a free breakfast or hamburger to veterans and active military on Friday November 11.

Hawk’s Cay Resort

Between August 15 and November 21, the resort in the Florida Keys is offering military rate of $129 for weeknights.

Home Depot

Veterans can get a 10% discount on Friday November, while active duty military get the 10% all year long.


On Friday, all veterans can enjoy a free entrée from the chain’s Veterans Day Menu, which includes a 10-piece traditional or boneless wings, burger, buffalo chicken salad, or buffalo chicken sandwich.


Free sandwich, hot dish, or entrée salad for veterans at the cafes inside the furniture store chain between November 7 and 11.


The Vermont ski resort is offering free lift tickets for veterans and active duty military on Friday November 11.

Knotts Berry Farm

The amusement park’s Military Days grants active duty military and veteransfree admission for themselves and 1 guest, as well as 6 additional tickets for a discounted price from November 1 to 18 and again from November 28 to December 16.

Krispy Kreme

Free doughnut and small coffee to veterans and active military on Veteran’s Day. Valid in-store only and not at the drive-thru window.

Everyone—not just veterans—can access any of the U.S National Parks for free on Friday, November 11.

Westgate Resorts

The resort chain is giving away 1,000 free vacations on Veteran’s Day. The first 1,000 eligible service members who complete the online military appreciation form and place a fully refundable $75 deposit will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night vacation for up to four people at the Westgate Town Center Resort in Orlando from May 5-7, 2017.

White Castle

Free combo meals to veterans and active military on Fri. Nov. 11 to those who dine in (not for drive thru service).
