What They Do:Snoozies ($10-$14.99) are comfy, packable, slipper-like footwear for wearing on airplanes and in hotel rooms. Orwoll and Ekstein check it out to decide if it’s a must-have, or just a nice-to-have.

Mark Orwoll: We’ve got a pair that fits Nikki’s feet and a pair that fits my feet.

Nikki Ekstein: Mark, I think I like yours better.

MO: The nice thing about them is they’re very flexible. They’re almost like heavy socks, except they don’t go over your ankles. Mine are lined with some fuzzy fleece-like material. The idea is that you get on an airplane, and most people on long flights take off their shoes because they’re just too uncomfortable. Your feet swell up a little bit. And then you walk around in your socks. But frankly, I get kind of grossed out walking around an airplane in my socks. The aisles are filthy because everybody’s been walking in them and they’ve been pushing the carts up and down. Wearing your socks to the airplane bathroom is extra gross. So having something like these is nice. What do you think of the ones you’re wearing?

NE: They’re really warm and cozy. The nonskid sole is nice. When you get up to go to the bathroom and there’s turbulence in the cabin you’re not going to fly through the aisles to the back of the plane because you were wearing slippy-slidey little slippers.

MO: There are all kinds of designs available, some aimed at men, some aimed at women. Mine happen to be golf balls and colorful golf tees.

NE: I’ve got little starfish and sand dollars. They’re not hideous. I could see a designer coming out with a version of these that was actually really cute and that you wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen in.

MO: Well, there’s a whole selection of styles. Yours is just one. Another nice thing about them is they’re cheap! Suggested price is 10 to 15 bucks. And for what they do, I’m definitely going to use them. And they’re comfy.

NE: Very comfy! And machine washable, which is key. After a couple of days of travel you’re definitely going to want to pop these in the wash, no question.

MO: I’d buy a pair for somebody in my family for traveling if they felt that they wanted to have something on their feet other than socks.

NE: Yeah, I dig it. Why not!

MO: Cool. Awesome.

VERDICT: A must-have (if you can find a pattern you like).
