Although most people’s map usage is limited to smartphones and tablets these days, there’s still something so striking about a real paper map. Maybe it’s the nostalgia behind it, or perhaps it’s just aesthetically pleasing, but either way, a virtual map confined to a smartphone doesn’t have the same kick. While it’s not practical to travel with a paper map anymore, that doesn’t mean you have to forget them for good — instead, get one to hang on your wall. Custom map wall art company Grafomap, for instance, lets you design a map of anywhere in the world to hang in your home, custom labels and all.

First things first, you need to have a place in mind. Say you choose the City of London, UK. All you have to do is select that destination on Grafomap, and you’ll see 11 design options, ranging from standard black and white to blueprint-inspired to even noir-themed.

Then, choose how you want it packaged: A simple paper poster is the default, but you can pay more for options like having it framed, set on a hanger, or even printed onto a T-shirt. You can also choose from portrait or landscape cropping, and a small or large size.

Lastly, you can customize the label on the poster to either say the city name and country, or anything else you’d like. The whole process takes about five minutes, and you end up with a custom map. Not bad.

The best part? You can choose any place in the world to design your map around: Grafomap uses open-source map technology, so you can even zoom into locations, zoom out of cities, or find a specific address to highlight on the map.

A paper poster measuring 18 x 24 inches with no add-ons like framing will cost you only $49, and other add-ons range from $20 to $50. The most expensive option, which is a map on metal, is $119.
