Amazon has almost anything you can think of, and everything you need. This can make it surprisingly challenging to shop when the biggest sale of the year, Prime Day, comes around. As editors, we're constantly testing products to feature or recommend, and these days, those items look a little more like home decor, electronics, and outdoor gear than our typical travel-specific accessories.
Whether you're on the hunt for a new sound system or are searching for a sturdy rug pad, these tried-and-true products are guaranteed to make your home feel like the space of your dreams (they did for mine!). As one of Travel + Leisure's e-commerce editors, I've compiled a list of products I really love, some of which are also marked down for Amazon's Prime Day sale, to help you choose the best of the best (at the best price).

This sound bar speaker and subwoofer set is the perfect size for my small New York City apartment, but it's certainly not small in sound. The subwoofer gives the sound bar, which is easily paired with any device (my computer, phone and Roku), just the right amount of depth and richness. It's perfect for all those movie nights brought on by quarantine.
To buy: amazon.com, $150 (originally $230)
This rug pad has saved me from slipping around my living room the second I step onto my rug. Unlike other rug pads, which are thinner, more porous, and usually some kind of plastic or rubber, this recycled felt pad is thick enough to add cushion (because I love sitting on the floor) without being an obstruction, and it actually protects my rug and floor. I've gotten one for every rug I have and trimmed the felt pad to customize the size.

This microwave is the cutest I've ever seen, and at its price point (not to mention with the 20% off for Amazon Prime Day), it's a complete steal. It's one of my favorite things in my kitchen — and the fact that it's so functional and high-quality is just a bonus.
To buy: amazon.com, $56 (originally $70)
When it comes to tuning out the city, noisy neighbors, and neighborhood dogs, and tuning in to meetings or just some great music, these headphones are a must. They fit softly around my ears without pinching or causing that dreaded headphone ache after hours of use.
To buy: amazon.com, $300 (originally $350)
Ah, the instant pot — a modern kitchen classic. While I'm not exactly gifted in the kitchen, this instant pot has proved time and time again that all I need to know in order to make great food is how to press a few buttons. While it can be more involved than that when you're making, say, a cheesecake or rack of ribs (both of which I've done, and that's saying a lot), this is one easy-to-use appliance.
To buy: amazon.com, $79 (originally $100)
