This New Children's Book Series Celebrates Diversity in Travel
Do you love to travel and long to share the passion with the little ones in your life? Even if it takes quite some time before you return to your favorite destinations with your family, you can still take a virtual trip with the help of a good book. Mother-daughter author duo Serena Minott and Asha Gore celebrate diversity in travel with their new children's book series, "The Amazing Adventures of Aya & Pete," available now at Nordstrom.

Each of the three books follows Aya, an adventurous young girl, and her stuffed sloth, Pete, in a new destination, from London to Paris to New York City. Follow along as Aya and Pete discover new places, people, and, of course, food. The stories feature maps, facts, and useful information about the different cities, including geography, language, currency, and landmarks, so they're just as educational as they are entertaining. Whether you read about the characters exploring the skyscrapers of New York City or sampling French pastries in Paris, you won't be disappointed.
Minott says she was inspired to create this book series after searching for inclusive travel books for her own daughter. "I thought, if I'm looking for these books, and there were certainly none featuring characters that looked like Asha, there must be other families out there in the same position," she said.
And these books are here just in time for the holidays, so if you've been searching for the perfect gift for a curious little one in your life, look no further than these books, which will be sure to inspire wanderlust in you and your children. Read on to shop this beautiful book series.
