Black Friday 2019 may still be about a month away, but it's never too early to start scouting deals on amazon.com. The online retail giant — home of the ever-popular Amazon Echo devices, Kindle e-readers, Fire Stick, and Prime membership — typically does us thrifty shoppers a favor by offering early Black Friday deals as the days count down until the actual event on Friday, Nov. 29.

Many of these sales may be a part of the actual 2019 Amazon Black Friday sales event happening in November — it’s just that we'll get to shop them early. In fact, Amazon already unveiled an impressive selection of early holiday deals that will run now through November 21 (thanks, Jeff Bezos!). Everything from Alexa gadgets to electronics to travel essentials are marked down up to 70 percent, meaning it’s time to get a head start on all of your holiday shopping and seasonal savings.

While you’re preparing to shop those pre-Black Friday deals, we know you might still have some questions about what to expect this coming Amazon Black Friday event, what discounts will be offered, and how best to navigate this money-saving shopping extravaganza. So we’ve explained it all for you in our nifty guide, below. Plus, we’re sharing some of the products that were marked down last year and we hope to see discounted by Amazon again in 2019, along with a few that are already on sale.

Amazon Black Friday Deals 2019: What to Expect

Amazon Black Friday begins Nov. 29 on amazon.com with sizable discounts in a range of departments, including electronics, luggage and travel, books, home, clothing, shoes, and more. Judging from previous years, you won't have to be a Prime member to get free shipping. All shoppers will likely receive free standard shipping on over 100 million eligible items with no $25 minimum, so don’t be afraid to go bananas (no judgments here).

Previous Amazon Black Friday events have seen steep discounts on its own products — including the 3rd Generation Echo Dot for $24 ($30 off), the Fire TV Stick 4K for $35 ($15 off), and the Fire 7 Tablet with Alexa for $30 ($20 off) — and we’re expecting this year’s sales event to offer similar deals.

What Are the Early Amazon Black Friday Deals?

Amazon's pre-Black Friday sale is already in full swing, and plenty more deals are expected to be added leading up until the main shopping event. Amazon will be offering Deal of the Day lightning offers on top products for, you guessed it, that day (or even just a couple of hours) only. So be sure to bookmark the Early Black Friday Deals page and check back often to get an early start on holiday shopping.

And if you're in the market for an Amazon device (such as their super-popular Amazon Echo and Fire TV sticks), then you're in luck. A page full of sales and special offers on Echo and Alexa devices is currently live on their site. The sales are frequently updated, so check back often to see what's new.

If you can’t wait until November 29 to start shopping, you can already save big on items like the Amazon Echo Show 5 and this set of packing cubes from G4Free today on Amazon. Shop a few of the best early holiday deals we’ve seen so far from the retail giant below.

Do I Need to be an Amazon Prime Member to Shop Black Friday Deals?

No, but Prime members get bonus perks that are well worth the subscription. Last year, Amazon treated Prime members to early access to exclusive deals when they shopping using Amazon’s Alexa. And this year, Prime members are expected to get free same-day delivery on more than three million items.
