Inspired by: The Caribbean, specifically Mustique, where the designer has a home. Hilfiger says they aimed to capture “the laidback island lifestyle,” with “relaxed Caribbean influences and an effortlessly sophisticated feel.”

Inspired by: 1930s wallpaper from London interiors.
Inspired by: Japanese wisteria gardens and the angles of Tatami rooms.
Creatures of Comfort
Inspired by: Famed French architect Le Corbusier’s Radiant City in Marseille, France.
Inspired by: Taylor Camp, a nudist colony in Kauai populated by hippies in the 1960s and ‘70s.
Inspired by: Taylor’s recent trip to Kenya, Tanzania and Morocco, where she “was moved by the vibrant pigments, novel textures, and ornate architectural motifs,” she says. She “wanted to tell a story that had a fluidity to its shape and was pulsating in color.”
Inspired by: A holiday in St. Tropez and the French Riviera. “The Frame girl has traveled back in time, across the Atlantic to the Cote D’Azur,” notes designers Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson. “[Here] for an iconic moment in the ‘70s, the bourgeoisie met the boys from the bands and the landscape was still exotic.”
Inspired by: The Basque Region. “This season began as an exploration of my Basque heritage,” says Joseph Altuzarra. “I was inspired by the inherent beauty of the materials and crafts of the region, and the ease and humility it exuded.”
Inspired by: A holiday in Italy, Greece, Mexico, Turkey, Spain, and Corsica.

Inspired by: A London transplant settling into late ‘90s Brooklyn.
Inspired by: Late 1960s Americana. "The vast landscape of the Southwest holds an incomparable beauty unlike anywhere I have been in the world,” the designer notes. “It is the unending miles of cornfields and the big, open blue skies that resonated so deeply with me, and imprinted themselves in my heart and my mind, which are reflected in this collection.”
Inspired by: The designer’s native Nepal, specifically the work of artist Laxman Shreshtha.
