22 Travel Picks From Fashion Week

Whatever is happening on the runways in a season, it’s hard not to see it through the frequent-flyer’s lens. That frizzy-haired yeti coat spotted at Ralph Lauren is perfect for a fantasy hike through the Himalayas, for example. The trip to Morroco we’ve been wanting to take? Definitely need everything from Alber Elbaz’s latest Lanvin collection … and the 70s maxi dresses that came out at Chloé, too.
Others look at long sweater dresses, like the ones at Lemaire and Hermés, and see luxury daywear. We see smart options for overnight air travel (so much chicer than leggings!). Going for business? Derek Lam’s tailored, pant-driven interpretations of modern sportswear and Marc Jacobs’s tweedy skirt suits are totally on board.

Lucky us, the best looks from the fall collections feel like they were made for travel. Here, the looks to take with you to the brasserie (as Karl Lagerfeld saw it at Chanel), the bazaar, and beyond.
