Whether I’m headed out of town for a weekend or going on a lengthier trip, packing always makes me panic. It’s not that I’m an unorganized person — in fact, I’m very much type A — but the persistent fear I’m forgetting something important never seems to fade.

My packing technique usually consists of laying out all of my outfits ahead of time and adding about five times the amount of underwear anyone would ever need — and I know I’m not the only one who packs enough undies for a small civilization (you just never know!).

Speaking of underwear, I am thrilled to announce that the seemingly endless search for the softest, most comfortable, and inexpensive pair is over — and as someone who is quite particular about undies, I never would have guessed they’d be from Amazon. I’ve tried countless brands over the years, and none have compared to these cotton bikini panties

With nearly 5,500 reviews, over 4,200 of which are perfect five stars, it seems that Amazon Essentials really delivered on this undie bundle. One reviewer, who titled her post, “Perfect panties, perfect price... just... perfect!” explained, “Comfy, stretchy, great true-to-size fit and they seem to be holding up well to multiple wears and washes.”

To buy: amazon.com, $14

Made with 95 percent cotton and five percent elastane, the fabric is buttery soft and breathable while also providing just the right balance between stretch and secure fit. You can choose packs of solids, like black and white, for easy consistency or opt for a variety of colors and patterns to change things up each day.

Another reason to go crazy for these undergarments? They’re $2 each. Yes, you read that correctly. You can buy a 10-pack of these babies for between $12 and $20. Striking a chord with me, a reviewer wrote, “I Love This Underwear and They are a Great Alternative to Expensive Ones!” As someone who’s guilty of spending $20 on a single pair, I’m happy to see I’m not the only one who will be cutting their underwear budget...

If you’re in the market for some new everyday panties (let’s be real, who isn’t? I still have a few pairs from college) that are cost-efficient and truly comfortable, give these a go. They may not help with your over-packing problem, but they’ll definitely make throwing in more than enough underwear as uncomplicated as possible.
