Stunning Construction Photos of NYC's Anticipated Second Avenue Subway
After decades of planning and construction—seriously, there was even a joke about it on Mad Men—the Second Avenue Subway Line is finally nearing completion. In total, the expansion will include 16 new stations and will stretch 8.5 miles along Manhattan's east side from 125th Street to Hanover Square. The project is on schedule to open in December 2016, and last week, the MTA shared photos of the first work trains rolling over the tracks. Read on to see the progress.
