These Are the 10 Most Instagrammed Tourist Attractions of 2017
Just as most of us can look back on 2017’s memorable trips or delicious brunches by taking to our Instagram profiles, Instagram itself is looking back at a year in review.
Instagram has again released data surrounding the people, places, and trends that dominated the platform over the last year, using information collected between January 1, 2017 and November 17, 2017 to identify the top performers. The findings share the year’s top hashtags (#love, #fashion, #photooftheday) and most-followed celebrities (Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Cristiano Ronaldo), but they also give users a glimpse at where ‘grammers traveled and photographed the most.
While the top Instagrammed cities are New York City, Moscow, and London, Instagram breaks it down even further, sharing the top 10 most Instagrammed locations around the world, all of which happen to be popular tourist attractions. The list may not surprise you: Disney parks dominate with four out of 10 locations, while the rest of the attractions round out some of the most popular in the world.
If you do have the chance to visit any of the locations below, just remember: Snap that perfect photo, and then get back to enjoying these sought-after destinations IRL.
