A Yellowstone Bison Attacked a Photographer Taking a Selfie
There must be something about a selfie opportunity that makes photographers just a little bit braver. One woman and her daughter visiting Yellowstone National Park attempted to take a photo with a bison and got an ugly surprise instead. The 43-year-old from Mississippi approached the animal with her daughter, both eventually turning their backs to it less than 10 feet away. After hearing the bison's footsteps behind them and trying to get away, the animal lifted the mother off of the ground and tossed her in the air.
While she didn't obtain any serious injuries, she is the fifth person who has been injured after getting too close to a bison in the park this season. Of the other victims, one 16-year-old girl was gored while taking a picture near Old Faithful.
