YouTube Launched a Digital Summer Camp for Kids With Virtual Trips, Arts and Crafts, and More
#CampYouTube has over 1,200 videos to keep your kids entertained and educated this summer.
In-person summer camps may be canceled for 2020 but that doesn’t mean kids have to forgo the camp experience. All they need to do instead is log on to YouTube.
This summer, YouTube is launching its very own virtual summer camp known as — what else — #CampYouTube. The experience will come with everything generations of camp goers have come to love including activities on science, art, theater, sports, adventure, and more. The best part is the entire camp experience is free for children and families.
The virtual camp comes in organized, curated collections making up more than 1,200 videos meant for children of all ages. The camp videos are set up in four different streams: STEM, Sports, Arts, and Adventure.
Inside the streams, the content is divided up between videos for teens as well as videos for children under the age of 13. For example, the Arts stream videos for teens include drawing tutorials and How to Make Your Own Comic Book videos. For kids under 13, the videos include KidzBop dance classes as well as videos from Sesame Street.
Beyond the streams, #CampYouTube is also offering virtual field trips, which includes high quality 360 videos from some of the most beautiful places on Earth. The videos include virtual trips through national parks, places like Mexico for the Monarch Butterfly migration, and even in space.
And, because no camp experience would be complete without a few sweets, the playlists also include plenty of how-to videos for crafts and snacks, like this one on how to make the perfect S’more no matter where you are.
Check out the entire camp experience here and enjoy it with your entire family all summer long.
