The club lounge at The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue is still in its infancy, having launched less than a year ago, in March 2022, but it’s ready to make a big splash for its discerning clientele. Located on the hotel’s fourth floor, the space — with cozy reading nooks, curated art, and massive windows looking out over Fifth Avenue — was designed by Richmond International, which was previously tapped to renovate The Langham, Boston, and The Langham, Chicago. The goal of the redesign is to reinvent the hotel club atmosphere at The Langham, creating a chic, relaxed, exclusive hangout, rather than simply another room with all-inclusive breakfast and wine poured at 5 p.m. Courtesy of The Langham To add one more reason to visit this luxurious, private nook in NYC, The Langham just announced programming to rival that run-of-the-mill, happy hour: The Langham Cocktail Club. The food-and-beverage team is bringing in iconic spirits houses to mix a drink for The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue (whether an exclusive-to-Langham concoction or a classic cocktail). Over time, the club’s cocktail offerings will become more robust as each drink will be added to the permanent menu. “Throughout the year in 2023, we will introduce new offerings to The Langham Cocktail Club menu, building the menu as we introduce new partners,” Shane Caldwell, assistant food and beverage director of The Langham, New York Fifth Avenue, confirmed in a release sent to Travel + Leisure. “These will serve as counterpoints to our traditional offerings in The Langham Club.” The Cocktail Club is kicking off with a Goslings Rum partnership. Its cocktail is a Sea Spray, made with pineapple juice, lime, coconut syrup, Amaretto, and the new Goslings Spirited Seas Ocean Aged Rum. Courtesy of The Langham When the Goslings partnership wraps up, the beverage team will likely bring in Barr Hill, a Vermont distiller whose gin has taken the martini-drinking world by storm, and Chinola, a passion fruit liqueur already ubiquitous at luxury haunts like Soho House and Nobu. The Langham Club is only open to guests of the hotel. There are two ways in: Guests can book a specific room type, including Executive Club Rooms, One Bedrooms, and Junior Suites, which come with Club access, or pay an additional $150 to $175 per person per day (depending on the season).
