"The market was getting saturated with BoHo-chic clones. So we decided to give Joshua Tree something no one has ever seen before in terms of visual richness, texture, and experiential storytelling." Foxden Hospitality, founded by Dale and his wife, Brookelyn, is the company behind the new Joshua Tree Country Club (JTCC), a three-suite villa in the heart of Joshua Tree's Coyote Hole. The property, which opens for reservations today, Sept. 6, delivers a personalized country club experience in the California desert — and it comes with a few twists inspired by its unique location. For example, guests can book a healing sound bath session after an intense tennis match or request a personal astronomy guide to reveal what the stars have in store for them. Brian Ashby As for the more classic country club amenities, JTCC does not disappoint. With a tournament-grade croquet lawn, three-hole putting green, and a tennis and pickleball court (the only one at a rental property in Joshua Tree), guests will feel like they are staying at their own private country club. The residence even has its version of a 'pro shop' decked out with sports equipment for guests' use. "Amenities on property are designed so you can be as active as you want or delight in doing absolutely nothing. Either way, you'll have a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience," Brookelyn Fox adds. A sleek outdoor pool, a spacious cabana, and sunbeds round out the resort-style amenities. Brian Ashby The country club aesthetic continues in the interior spaces as the suites are each named after a country club sport. The eclectic décor also reflects the themes and features playful design elements such as a headboard made with tennis rackets in the tennis suite and sets of croquet mallets and balls hung on the walls in the croquet suite. Pops of forest green, navy, and pink, oversized windows, wood-and-brass accents, and sleek furnishings complement the Instagram-worthy interiors. Brian Ashby The spacious kitchen was designed with the villa's beautiful setting in mind as floor-to-ceiling windows reveal sweeping mountain vistas, best enjoyed from the 12-foot marble countertop or the adjacent outdoor patio. And design enthusiasts will feel right at home in the beautiful living room, adorned with two original vintage mirrors from New York City's Flatiron Building and several pieces of quirky art. At night, guests can enjoy the famous star-filled skies of Joshua Tree thanks to special outdoor lights that minimize light pollution in the area.
