This Swiss Ski School Is Hiring a Slope Tester and You Don’t Have to Be a Pro to Apply
The application only requires your name and email address.
While ski enthusiasts are gearing up for the upcoming snow season, Altitude Ski School in Switzerland is looking for someone to test out their slopes and report back on the experience. The job may not be paid, but the beauty of the Swiss Alps and stellar ski slopes are surely motivation enough to apply.
When chosen, the official ski slope tester will experience and critique the slopes at one of the eight locations where Altitude offers ski lessons. All of the mountains have their unique appeal, but the ski slope tester will have to choose between Verbier, Grindelwald, Wengen, Megeve, Klosters, Davos, Gstaad, and Zermatt, which sits in the shadows of the iconic Matterhorn and is open for skiing year-round. Each location offers several slopes, accommodating skiers of all skill levels.
“I’m so pleased to announce Altitude’s latest opening to join our team as our one and only ski slope tester,” said Jon West, Altitude Ski School director, in a press release. “It’s an incredibly important role, and we’re excited to welcome whoever the lucky candidate is. We’re sure they will have a fantastic time ensuring that the snow is up to standard for the other skiers.”
To enter for your chance to be Altitude’s new ski slope tester, visit the school’s official website and enter your name and contact information now through Jan. 4, 2021. A winner will be randomly chosen the following day and announced on Altitude Ski School’s social media channels.
And while the winner will be called to review their experience for the Altitude Ski School website, beginners can apply for the opportunity as well. The winning candidate can choose between a day pass on one of Altitude’s slopes or a two-hour ski lesson.
