This dream job is for you. A family in London is on the hunt for a couple to look after their home and the two family dogs. In exchange, the couple will not only be paid but will also be given their own private apartment in London where they will live rent-free. According to the Silver Swan Recruitment listing, the couple will be tasked with duties ranging from cooking meals, overseeing home improvement projects, conducting housekeeping duties, driving the family and their guests as needed, shopping for any needs, and, of course, looking after the family’s two friendly dogs. Getty Images In exchange, the family will offer the couple a salary of £62,000 in total (about $67,000) to split between the couple, along with the private apartment. The couple will be expected to work 5 days per week when the family is in residence but also have “complete flexibility for the remainder of the month.” The family is typically in residence for about two weeks of the month, meaning for half the month the new hires would have total control over their schedules and how they conducted their day-to-day routines. As for what the couple is looking for, the listing notes the family is looking for someone with a “passion for fine food and wine,” along with an interest in London’s food, shopping, and social scene; a clean driving license; someone who is “highly organized with attention to detail;” and someone who is a “high quality” cook. The ability to speak other languages is a plus. The recruitment process is ongoing. The family is also willing to conduct video interviews and are hopeful that the hired couple can start early this summer. Oh, and of course, you must love dogs.
