It’s about to get a bit easier for transatlantic travelers to avoid a red-eye flight.

Starting Mar. 25, JetBlue is launching a new daytime flight between New York City (JFK) and London Heathrow. Seats for the new flights are on sale now.

Currently available to book, the eastbound flight will leave JFK at 8:30 a.m. EST and arrive at Heathrow at 8:45 p.m. GMT. As for the westbound flight, it will depart Heathrow at 8:25 a.m. GMT and arrive in New York at 11:40 a.m. EST.

Most flights departing the United States and arriving in Europe fly overnight, leaving passengers groggy and out of sorts. But JetBlue’s new daytime flight will make it possible for travelers to leave New York City and fly to London during the day. Then they can get a full night’s sleep after they arrive.

JetBlue has been rapidly expanding its transatlantic offerings. The carrier has operated flights between New York and London since 2021 and added Boston-London service last year. In November, it also announced the launch of service to Paris, starting this summer.

“JetBlue is currently the only U.S. carrier to serve both Gatwick and Heathrow, offering customers on both sides of the Atlantic greater choice and convenience. JetBlue’s multi-airport approach in London, with diversified flying at two of the U.K.’s busiest airports, has already allowed the airline to grow a meaningful customer base of loyal transatlantic fliers and build valuable relationships with key teams at both airports,” the airline said on its website.

However, due to this new daytime offering, the airline will adjust its New York-London schedule and drop one of its flights between JFK and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). JetBlue will still maintain three daily flights in total between New York and London, and their cushy Mint suites will be available on all of them.
