And you thought you couldn't get by in the city on a budget.

Jonathan Powley is offering something you may not have thought existed: A night in New York City for less than the cost of a mid-priced dinner for two (with tip).

The only catch: You'll be spending the night in his taxi cab.

The cab, listed on Airbnb, is located in Long Island City near a park with views of the Manhattan skyline.

The Airbnb listing breaks down everything you can expect: a bed, pillows, sheets, and a portable battery-powered fan for those humid nights. There's no bathroom—but he does provide a list of nearby public restrooms.

And all this for $39 for a night. The owner has lived in New York City for 12 years, so you might also get some expert trip advice as part of the deal.

Bonus: Free kayaking is nearby, if you're into that kind of thing.

If nothing else, this would be an experience worth writing home about.
