There are two types of travelers: Those who only notice the hotel’s shampoo when they are using it to wash their hair, and those who beeline to the bathroom to check out the miniature bottles.

While most toiletries are simply utilitarian, there’s a little bolt of excitement when you’re presented with a cache of bottles of Le Labo, Aesop, Ferragamo, or Hermès products. Not only do you get to test new brands and scents, but hotel toiletries are the easiest way to stock up on TSA-approved miniature bottles of your favorite Oscar de la Renta shampoo.

In case you’re wondering which hotels offer the very best in luxury amenities, read on.
