With Daylight Savings Time approaching on March 8, everyone waiting to turn the clocks forward are most likely not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep.

Thankfully, to help you embrace the extra sunlight and make sure you wake up on the right side of the bed come Sunday, La Quinta by Wyndham is offering an extra savings at several of its hotels, welcoming people to travel or enjoy a staycation as they usher in the new season.

Guests who check in to one of 15 participating hotels on March 8 will be able to get an extra 23 percent off the best available rate, which the company calls “translating daylight savings into actual savings.”

“Our La Quinta Means Business survey found that 62% of business travelers believe a good night's rest is the most important way to feel prepared on a business trip,” Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' VP of Brand Marketing, Sheila Schottland, told Travel + Leisure. “We know the hour of sleep we lose during Daylight Saving Time can wreak havoc on that preparedness, especially come Monday morning. At La Quinta by Wyndham, we help our guests wake up on the bright side and succeed on the road, and this 23% savings is our way of helping make up for that lost hour – not to mention the usual round-the-clock free coffee at all of our hotels.”

The rate, good for one night checking out on March 9, means that while you may be tired from losing an hour of sleep, it will all feel a bit better when you wake up to a free breakfast in the morning (think: waffles and eggs).

And despite being an hour short on sleep, there's plenty to do once you get going in one of their participating locations.

In Chicago, celebrate the beginnings of Spring by getting some retail therapy on the Magnificent Mile before checking into the Chicago Downtown location in the nearby Loop. Or in Orlando, wake up at the Orlando IDrive Theme Parks location and take advantage of the extra sunlight by hitting the theme parks (you can even celebrate Mardi Gras until April 2 by heading to Universal Studios).
