It feels good to save money. But it also feels good to make the world a little better, right?

Kind Traveler is a new hotel booking site that gives hotel guests discounts after they donate to a cause they are passionate about.

By donating at least $10 to a charity of their choice, future guests receive savings of 10 to 25 percent off a hotel’s listed rates with Kind Traveler.

The way it works is that hotels on the site, which are located throughout the U.S., Mexico and Caribbean, choose a cause they care about. When guests donate to that cause, the hotel will give them a discount. It helps the hotel attract a certain type of guest while furthering any social good goals.

The hotels can choose from charities that work in wildlife, human rights, arts & music, education, environment, health, disaster relief or animal welfare. Some high-profile organizations included are Salvation Army, World Food Program and Make-A-Wish. Donations are forwarded directly to the charities, and neither the hotel nor Kind Traveler takes a cut, according to the company.

“Our win-win platform offers solutions for everyone,” Kind Traveler's CEO and co-founder Jessica Blotter said in a statement. “For travelers, they become warriors for good and support hotels that are making a positive impact in the world—while receiving exclusive hotel rates. For hotels, they cultivate new relationships with cause-minded consumers and take another step towards corporate social responsibility. For charities, they receive 100 percent of donations and a new, sustainable channel for fundraising.”

Two doesn't exactly make a trend, but Kind Traveler isn't alone: Purpose Hotel, currently raising funds on Kickstarter, is also looking to combine hospitality and charity.

So, if you’re looking for an excuse to take a vacation, now you can say you’re doing it for charity.
