You have zero excuses to not work out on vacation in this new hotel room
Hilton’s new hotel room features a gym at the foot of your bed.
For travelers who might have a hard time making it to the gym, but still want to exercise on the road, Hilton has unveiled a new room design that puts workout gear within reach — of the hotel bed.
The star of each “Five Feet to Fitness” room is a touchscreen that provides tutorials and workouts for all the equipment in the room, including a stationary Wattbike, a yoga mat, medicine balls, resistance bands and weights.
There are more than 200 videos in the “kiosk,” ranging anywhere from cardio, cycling, HIIT, yoga and recovery.
“Five Feet to Fitness has been thoughtfully engineered to serve as a guest’s personal wellness stage, complete with sports performance materials and best-in-class gym accessories,” Ryan Crabbe, senior director of global wellness at Hilton, said in a statement. “Guests will quickly realize we have gone much further than simply placing a piece of equipment in a room.”
The rooms also include a meditation chair for those who want to practice mindfulness on the road. There are blackout shades to make sure the sun doesn’t interrupt a post-workout nap, Biofreeze to relieve aching muscles and a variety of beverages to give guests protein or hydration.
But the best part of the new rooms is that when guests are done working out, their shower is just a few steps away.
The new fitness rooms are available to book at Parc 55 San Francisco and Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Virginia. Hilton says Five Feet to Fitness will soon expand to hotels in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York and San Diego.
