Forget All About the Election With This Adult Coloring Book With a Shirtless William McKinley
It’s a welcome distraction to this insane election season.
Remember that really weird dream you had after the second presidential debate? The one where you imagined teetotaler Abraham Lincoln relaxing at a day spa while drinking a cucumber stiletto mocktail?
And then you dreamed about a hipster George Washington working in a small batch distillery? And a tattooed Franklin Delano Roosevelt shaking up a gin martini?
Now you can drown your political sorrows with a fun new coloring book that re-imagines former commanders-in-chief tippling away during their off hours.
From the fun, surreal mind of artist Lindsay Mound comes a new illustrated book for adults that was commissioned by W Hotels.
“All the President’s Cocktails” will be available exclusively to guests who check into the EWOW Suites at any of the chain’s 24 properties in the U.S. starting Friday, October 28 through Election Day, Tuesday November 8, when “our collective national hangover comes to an end,” the company said in a statement.
The 12-page coloring book also features cocktail recipes throughout.
The editors of Travel + Leisure got our hands on a copy—you can see the fruits of our labor here. But after putting our coloring skills to use, we only have one question: Instead of a whiskey sour, shouldn’t the soon-to-be-replaced-on-the-$20-bill Andrew Jackson be drinking a Bloody Mary?
If you can't book yourself into a suite before Election Day, four of the images and recipes can be downloaded here.
