Blige can help you with that. Grammy Award-winning, Oscar-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and philanthropist Mary J. Blige teamed up with Fantinel Winery in 2020 to create a line of wines that are absolutely made for sipping in the summer sunshine. Courtesy of FANTINEL Sun Goddess Wines is an exclusive collection of limited-edition wines that feature bold, crisp, and rich flavors. The collection has four very drinkable varieties: an Italian Pinot Grigio Ramato (a rosé), Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Prosecco. The Sun Goddess name harkens back to Blige's own childhood memories with her mother and an endless love for the warmth and energy of the sun. "After walking through the vineyards and tasting with the Fantinel family, I felt extremely connected to the place, and more importantly, the people," said Blige in the statement. "In that moment, I felt the same magical energy I have long tried to capture from the sun and knew this was an incredible opportunity to partner with someone who shared that passion, and together we could try to create something that evoked that feeling." Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images The Pinot Grigio Ramato is a delightful pink and has a full-bodied flavor with an elegantly crisp finish featuring hints of peach, melon, and blackberry scents. The Sauvignon Blanc, made from only the best Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested from the foothills of the Dolomite mountains, has an aromatic flavor and velvety smoothness. The ruby red Merlot is rich and herbaceous, with a hint of red berries and spice, and the bubby Prosecco provides intense fruity aromas from pears, apples, and peaches, followed by a smooth body and pleasantly fresh aftertaste. "Mary is a fan of Pinot Grigio. She visited our winery in harvest time and when she was holding in her hands a bunch of Pinot Grigio 'red grapes' a sort of magical connection was created that gave birth to the idea of producing together a rosé wine," said Marco Fantinel, the company's CEO. Sun Goddess Pinot Grigio Ramato also achieved a Gold Medal in The Global Rosé Masters 2021 competition. Sun Goddess Wines are available for purchase in stores nationwide as well as on Wine.com.
