Nothing beats dinner with a view.

Peak, a highly-anticipated new restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards (the development’s tallest building), is officially open as of Thursday, March 12, according to a statement from the restaurant.

Helmed by Executive Chef Chris Cryer, Peak will deliver breathtaking views of New York City while serving modern American cuisine. Peak is located one level above Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. The award-winning architecture firm Rockwell Group designed the entire space, which includes a 110-seat dining room, a 45-seat cocktail bar, a private dining room, and an event space for up to 300.

“We are thrilled to present Peak, our second international project in Hudson Yards,” said P.B. Jacobse, CEO of Hospitality Group RHC, in a statement. “Our goal is to offer a level of cuisine, cocktails, and service to match the unparalleled views of New York City and David Rockwell’s dramatic design, and to create what we hope to be an iconic dining destination.”

But the restaurant isn’t all about ambience. It also boasts delicious cuisine that focuses on quality, sustainable ingredients.

The menu is divided into three categories: Land (meats), Sea (fish), and Garden (vegetables). Appetizers include dishes like chicken brodo, tilefish crudo, and rotisserie sunchokes, while main entrees include Maine lobster and Rohan duck. Peak’s menu also features gluten-free and vegetarian options.

As for beverages, prepare for a world-class, extensive wine list of 700 bottles, craft beers (all from New York State), and a menu full of inventive cocktails using locally produced spirits. Some cocktails include a Rhubarb Twist (champagne, rhubarb cordial) and the Gold Coast (gin, Lillet, golden olive, and vodka),

The bar also has an emphasis on Champagne and features a rolling Champagne cart in the cocktail bar and dining room. At the bar, you can choose from over 200 individual bottles of rare whiskeys, cognac, sherry, port, Madeira, and mezcal.
