The Duchess of Cambridge has become something of a style icon. And now she’s apparently moved on to inspiring interiors.

A Kate Middleton-inspired café has opened in Melbourne, Australia. It is apparently Australia’s first cafe named after a member of the British royal family.

Middletown Cafe, which opened in September, is the made-for-Instagram spot inspired by the Duchess’s sleek and minimalist style. It’s painted in white and royal navy blue, a nod to the duchess’s engagement dress and sapphire engagement ring.

The entire space is meant to reflect Middleton’s ascent to royalty. The fresh flowers, plants and wooden tables are meant to signify her country upbringing while the white marble tables and golden fixtures add a royal touch.

The owners of Middletown Cafe told The Cool Hunter that the Duchess represents all the values they wanted in their space. Her “humble nature and unpretentious beauty embody the design and personality of the café.” The cafe owners said that the space “welcomes everyone through its doors.”

The kitchen serves dishes “where classic flavors meet modern technique.” The all-day breakfast menu includes eggs benedict, coffee waffles and pickled mackerel while the lunch menu includes steamed barramundi, lamb neck and wagyu brisket. The cafe also serves coffee to go.

Middletown is the second restaurant location in Melbourne for partners Randy Dhamanhuri and Valerie Fong. Their successful first restaurant, Operator 25, is credited with elevating the brunch scene in Melbourne.
