Fiji’s Floating Pizzeria Took a Great Thing and Made It Better
Some people abide by the argument “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” And well, yes, this is an understandable sentiment, why not take a good thing and make it better?
That’s the basic principle behind Cloud 9 in Fiji.
Not only is it a secluded haven in crystal-clear waters, it’s also a pizzeria. It comes with a fully-stocked bar, DJs spinning on deck and options for water sports.
The floating attraction offers wood-fired Italian pizzas to guests, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. And post-pizza, visitors can dance or snorkel away the carbohydrates. The location also offers jet ski and parasailing tours around the reef.
Or for those who would rather just fall into a food coma in paradise, there are day beds, lounge chairs and cocktail service available.
Cloud 9 sits in the waters of Vanua Malolo on Ro Ro Reef, not far from Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. For tourists looking to eat pizza on the open seas, Cloud 9 is a 45-minute boat ride from Port Denarau. There are daily shuttles to Cloud 9 available from the port’s marina.
Cloud 9 can hold up to 100 people at a time and is available to book for private events and weddings.
