Don't let the cutesy name fool you. The Gingerbread Man's creator, mixologist Christabell Cobian, says most of the drink's imbibers “are in their mid 30s to early 40s, and mostly tourists. I talk to them and they’re really serious about their drinks; they’re very traditional.”
He adds, "The whiskey isn’t overpowering so this drink works anytime of the day: for brunch, after dinner when you’re getting dessert, right before you go to a party—or even at a party.”
The Gingerbread Man
2 oz. Johnny Walker Black Label
2 oz. Apple Juice
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
2 Dashes Black Walnut bitters
1 Piece of muddled ginger
Brown Sugar & Salt Rim
Mix all ingredients together except for the Black Walnut bitters, which are added last.
