December is the most wonderful time of year, and it's not just because of the holidays. Today, Dec. 4, is National Cookie Day, and Disney chefs from around the world are making this special occasion a little bit sweeter by sharing their favorite cookie recipes.

You've probably perfected your sourdough skills by now, so it's time to try your hand at something new.

The chefs from Disneyland Paris have shared a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe, but spruced it up with dried fruit, pecans, and dark chocolate drizzle, while California's Disneyland Resort offered a classic shortbread cookie recipe. At Epcot, the chefs created a spaceship-shaped sugar cookie filled with salted caramel ganache, and for those still in an autumnal mood, chefs from Disney's Animal Kingdom have created a pumpkin cookie ice cream sandwich.

If you're ready for a challenge, and looking to prepare something that will impress friends and family at your next Christmas party, try Belle's Enchanted Christmas Tree. The chef's from Gaston's Tavern at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom have whipped up this festive recipe, which consists of almond macarons of various sizes, stacked with cranberry-orange filling between each layer, creating the look of a Christmas tree.

All 10 cookie recipes that the Disney chefs have shared can be found on the official Disney Parks Blog. Each one comes with a link to an easily downloadable version of the recipe, so you can print it out and have it on hand as you bake.

If you happen to make it to Orlando's Walt Disney World Resort sometime soon, the parks have debuted 16 specialty snacks just for the holiday season. You'll find a white-chocolate peppermint cream cheese mousse at Animal Kingdom, frozen apple pie made with Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine at Epcot, Chip and Dale Christmas churros at Magic Kingdom, and more.
