Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Beer Is a Real Thing Thanks to Ben & Jerry's and New Belgium
When two of your favorite things are mashed together in culinary bliss, it's usually a good thing.
Peanut butter and jelly, rosé gummy bears, s'mores (there are three favorites in that one), avocado and toast—but chocolate chip cookie dough and beer? We'd have to try it to really know.
No matter what we think, you can buy it, thanks to New Belgium Brewing Company and Ben & Jerry's. The two companies have a history of creating ice cream/beer mash-ups (previously: Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale). According to a post on New Belgium's blog, they “dove into o[their] favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes for inspiration, and then whipped hefty doses of chocolate, brown sugar and vanilla into a dough-hued blonde ale base.”
The result: “a full-bodied beer that seduces with a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness.” OK, we're sold.
If you're interested in trying it for yourself, head to the New Belgium website for updates on availability and events in your area.
