Gordon Ramsay Will Face His Arch Nemesis, Pineapple Pizza, for Charity
In the name of charity, chef Gordon Ramsay will face down his arch nemesis: pineapple pizza.
In an interview with “The Nightly Show” in the U.K. earlier this year, Ramsay hollered that “You don’t put f***ing pineapple on pizza,” and he hasn’t let go of his position since.
But there appears to be one loophole. If 500 of his fans donate to Great Ormond Street Hospital (a children’s hospital in London) by Friday, July 7 at midnight ET, Ramsay will eat a pineapple pizza on Facebook Live. Swearing will undoubtedly ensue.
Depending on how much money they donate, fans can also win a Ramsay-inspired mug (it says “Have a nice f***ing day”) or an apron emblazoned with the words “Idiot Sandwich.”
Out of all the donations, one grand prize winner will be chosen to fly to Los Angeles, meet Gordon Ramsay and sit in at a live taping of Ramsay’s show “The F Word.”
Pineapple pizza is far from the only thing that the chef has a strong opinion about. He once declared that "there’s “no f***ing way I eat on planes” and that, while traveling, he makes his kids sit in economy while he’s in first class.
Regardless of how you feel about Ramsay’s fiery declarations, there’s no denying that he knows how to cook a steak.
