Nothing beats a hot summer day better than an ice cold milkshake. Whoever thought to take ice cream and blend it with milk and basically any and every flavor combination under the sun should be given a gold medal. Or a Nobel Peace Prize.

Okay, maybe we’re overstepping with that one.

However, it’s simply not summer unless you make at least one stop for a milkshake. And there are so many ways to have one. Go for a classic chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. Or, you can go wild with all kinds of flavor add-ins like caramel sauce, Oreo cookies or even gummy worms.

If you’re a milkshake connoisseur, you know that not all milkshake shops are alike. Even though some people might be fine with grabbing any old shake, some are definitely better than others. And so Yelp has identified the top places to get a milkshake, based on quantity and quality of reviews, and limited to two businesses per state to ensure geographic diversity.
