This Gorgeous Bar Just Opened at the Top of Thailand's Tallest Skyscraper (Video)

Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar, Thailand’s highest restaurant and bar, is now open at Bangkok’s King Power Mahanakhon, also known as the tallest building in Thailand. The new restaurant is on the 76th and 77th floors (at the very top) of the famous building, providing a breathtaking view of the landscape and the busy city of Bangkok below.

And it’s the perfect place to enjoy world-class cuisine and delicious cocktails in indoor or outdoor seating, all designed with a fusion of French and Thai decor. The restaurant, designed by Wilson Associates, is laden with elegant wood panels, floor-to-ceiling windows, a marble bar, an outdoor “jungle” inspired area, and tiny details like French antique books, Japanese ceramic pottery, and an impressively large sculpture of a bull’s head.

But it’s not just easy on the eyes. It’s also the perfect place for the best fine dining experience in Bangkok. Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar is a “modern brasserie” that specializes in both Asian and Western cuisines created by Executive Chef Joshua Cameron. Some delectable entrees include whole stuffed free-range chicken, Australian lamb chops, and Ayutthaya river prawns. In addition, guests can choose from over 100 curated wines (with an emphasis on natural wines) and a wide array of classic cocktails like an Aperol spritz, negronis, or even an espresso martini.
