This Virtual Food Tour in Atlanta Ends With a No-contact Tasting Menu Delivery (Video)

Eat local at home.

Virtual tours have become all the rage in the last few weeks as more and more of us find ourselves spending all of our time at home. But, none may be as special as this virtual food tour in Atlanta. That’s because it comes with something truly delicious.

As What Now Atlanta reported, Unexpected Atlanta Tours & Stories has launched a brand-new virtual food tour called ATL Food Tour Box. And it comes with all the fixings to go on a “tour” of some of Atlanta’s best restaurants right from your own home. Here’s how it works, according to the company.

A box will be delivered to the recipient’s door containing all the ingredients to make “five hearty” sample dishes from three Atlanta restaurants. Recipients will then be given a video link to cook alongside chefs and learn about the food’s history along the way.

“And, in addition to supporting four Atlanta small businesses, a portion of your purchase goes directly to Atlanta's own Giving Kitchen,” the company explained. “This is not just any old dinner; just like our traditional food tours, this is a 1.5 hour experience that shares the love of our city and its incredible people without ever leaving your dining room.”

The box of treats includes: Two Panbury's double crust pies (customers pick their preferred flavor), Just Add Honey Georgia Peaches blended tea with sachet, a one pound bag of Logan Turnpike Mill cornmeal, two Miss D's 1.5 ounces pralines, one bucket of Miss D's triple popcorn, pastry brush, recipe card for hoecakes, as well as that exclusive link to 45 minutes of chef videos, including the interactive recipe demonstration.

Each box comes perfectly portioned for two people so you can share this experience with your quarantine buddy as well. And don’t worry, there are vegetarian options too.

Purchases of the virtual food tour, which costs just $69.99 per box, made between March 23 to April 2 will be delivered on April 3, 2020. The following week's purchases will be delivered on April 10, 2020. Go ahead and get your virtual foodie tour on right now.
