Reaching the far-flung Maldives is usually a very expensive endeavor. But the members-only site DealRay has just discovered ultra-low fares to this island paradise for as little as $526 round-trip.

Flights are available from New York City between September and November, and are operated by Emirates and the Russian carrier Aeroflot.

As DealRay noted, this price is so good (tickets to the Maldives often cost well over $1,500) travelers outside of the New York metro area may even want to consider flying in just to take advantage of the sale.

With all that money saved on airfare, travelers can consider booking one of the islands' notoriously lavish resorts. If you need any proof that the Maldives are basically heaven on Earth, stay at one of Soneva Jani's 24 overwater villas.

Travelers who really want to get to know the Maldives can take advantage of another special offer, which lets travelers flying with Emirates book additional round-trip reservations for only $142 extra. Basically, you can book two complete trips to the Maldives for only $685.

For the record, it's even cheaper to book a one-way ticket to the Maldives. We wouldn't blame you.
