Scott's Cheap Flights spotted round-trip fares from major airports across the U.S. starting at $374. Some of the cheapest flights are available on American Airlines from Atlanta, Denver, Salt Lake City, Houston, Detroit, and Minneapolis.
Travelers should check their preferred search engine, like Google Flights, to see what is available from their home airport on different travel dates.
From San Francisco, flights are currently starting at $474 round-trip. For those in the New York City area, a search on Google Flights showed flights from JFK airport to Honolulu starting at $597 on Hawaiian Airlines in late summer and early fall.
As is always true with a great flight deal, the cheapest seats go fast. If you don't see the deal you want, be sure to set price alerts — whether on Google or another service like Hopper or Kayak — to be sure you won't miss the next time prices hit rock bottom.
Increased competition has brought down prices on flights to Hawaii, and Southwest's upcoming routes to the Aloha State could bring them down even more. In other words, if you don't take advantage of this sale but still want to go to Hawaii, just wait.
