For the best deals, search for flights departing and returning on Tuesdays (July 25 to August 1, for example).
It’s not just Floridians that can see this award-winning city for cheap. On Monday, Hipmunk announced low fares to Charleston starting at $202 round-trip from New York City on August 5.
Charleston can be particularly hot during the peak summer months, so for the best weather, wait to visit until September or November.
Travelers will also find deals on airfare (and hotel rates) by waiting until early winter to book a flight to Charleston. Even during the coldest month of the year, you can expect mild temperatures in the high 50s and low 60s — along with oyster roasts and camellia blossoms.
