Best Instagram Photos of 2013
Check out a year’s worth of beautiful travel photos Instagrammed by T+L fans.
Instagram users not only hail from all over the world, but they travel it too. Just consider the list of top five Instagrammed cities of 2013, which hops from New York (No. 1) to Bangkok, then Los Angeles, London, and São Paulo, Brazil.
Throughout the year, we’ve encouraged T+L’s Instagram fans to share their travel photos using the hashtag #TLPicks or #TLTransportMe. Our favorites include images from popular cities like London as well as off-the-beaten-path destinations like Guanajuato, Mexico.
Wherever they go, T+L’s fans have captured vivid travel experiences, from rock climbing in Utah to an up-close encounter with a giraffe in Botswana’s Kalahari Desert. And they’ve enhanced them too, using filters and features like selective focus.
In reviewing the tagged travel photos, we came across Instagrammers who are new to the Travel + Leisure community, along with a few repeat engagers, like @minerand and @sweetdivergence.

The Plitvice Lakes look like they belong in Middle Earth. The best part of visiting in the off season is that we didn’t have to fight off hoards of other visitors and the changing of the leaves only enhanced the beauty of the lakes.
