A 'Harry Potter'-themed Dinner Theater Is Coming to New York City
And they'll have a magical, mimosa-filled brunch, too.
Accio mimosas! The wizarding world is bringing us Muggles the best way to brunch this summer.
According to Gothamist, the Wizard's Brunch & Dinner, a "Harry Potter"-themed dinner theater experience, is coming to New York City for just one weekend in August. The special event has been held all over the world and in the U.S. to the delight of Potterheads everywhere.
The immersive show is held twice a day, once at dinner for people who want a classic dinner theater experience, and once at brunch for people who want to drink their Bloody Marys and eat their eggs benedicts with a magical show.
Certain sessions are for all ages and others are adults only, according to Gothamist.
As part of the event, New York City’s Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers will be made up just like the Great Hall at Hogwarts, where attendees can sit at the quintessential long tables, enjoy a fabulous feast provided by chef Abigail Kirsch, drink wizard-themed libations, learn spells and potions, and enjoy some magical theatrics. There will also be live music and games, too.
Of course, everyone is encouraged to dress up in typical wizard fashion, but it’s not required.
The Wizard's Brunch & Dinner will be held on August 17 and 18. Brunch lasts from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Dinner lasts from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets for the event range from $135 to $150 for adults (over 21) and $85 to $105 for kids or adults under 21.
