In a gesture of sarcasm over America's pumpkin spice obsession, Instagrammer twi_star opted for a seasonal and hilarious DIY manicure with the prized orange powder.

Starting with a pumpkin-hued base coat and "lots of top coat," the popular nail artist then used a fan brush to dust the spicy goodness all over her wet talons. The result: a texture that resembles "elephant poop," along with a pumpkin spice-induced cough that further proves just how dangerous this craze really is.

Check out the video for yourself. And don't even think about suggesting sriracha, truffle or kale-themed nails. We've allowed these foods to be trendy long enough.
